Xavier boys net victory against J-Hawks

Noah Schmall, Kyle D'Mello, Grant Hunt, Mitch Steffensmeier and Ben Curley won their singles matches Tuesday as Xavier defeated Jefferson, 7-2, in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meet at the Xavier courts.

Schmall clipped Jacob Donald, 6-3, 7-5, at No. 1 singles.

Galbraith leads Cougars by J-Hawks

Riley Galbraith defeated Jacob Donald, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles Thursday as Kennedy clipped Jefferson, 6-2, in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meet at Jefferson.

Mitch Martin, Arjun Venkatesh, Quinn Jamrock and Trevor Oates also won singles matches for the Cougars.

J-Hawk netters trimmed by Waterloo West

WATERLOO - The Cedar Rapids Jefferson boys tennis team took a 4-2 lead in the single competition Wednesday at Waterloo West, but the J-Hawks could not finish the job.

Waterloo West swept all three doubles matches and clipped Jefferson, 5-4, in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet.

Jacob Donald, Colten Jourdan, Daniel Britton and Zach Denny won their singles matches for the J-Hawks.
