Iowa City High senior Sid McMillin won three individual events to lead the Little Hawks past Kennedy, 125-45, Tuesday (Dec. 7) in a boys’ swimming meet at Kennedy.

Iowa City High won every event.

Cougars last at J-Hawk Relays

Dubuque Senior won four of the nine events and cruised to the title Dec. 4 at the Jefferson pool.

All events were relay races, a test of each teams depth. Senior, Iowa City West and Dubuque Hempstead finished 1-2-3. Linn-Mar, Jefferson and Kennedy rounded out the field.

Teams — 1. Dubuque Senior 108, 2. Iowa City West 90, 3. Dubuque Hempstead 72, 4. Linn-Mar 52, 5. Cedar Rapids Jefferson 28, 6. Cedar Rapids Kennedy 14.

Richardson wins, Cougars lose

DUBUQUE — John Richardson won the 100 backstroke and swam on the victorious 400 freestyle relay as Kennedy lost a Mississippi Valley Conference meet, 89-76, Nov. 30 to Dubuque Hempstead.
