Moreno leads Lions at Hunters Ridge

Teresa Lopez Moreno tied for medalist honors with a 42 Tuesday to help Linn-Mar win a Mississippi Valley Conference triangular meet at Hunters Ridge.

Maddie Hawkins of Dubuque Senior also shot a 42. Sierra Hargens shot a 43 for Kennedy.

Linn-Mar finished with 185 shots. Kennedy and Dubuque Senior tied at 195.

Linn-Mar: Lopez Moreno 42, Lauren Coughlin 46, Jordan Postma 46, Katie Harding 51.

Kennedy: Sierra Hargens 43, Raemi Chavez 46, Breanna Osterkamp 51, Val Davidson 55, Avery Haefner 55.

Linn-Mar 4th at girls regional golf

CLINTON - Linn-Mar finished in fourth place in the Class 5A Region 4 girls golf tournament Monday at Clinton Country Club at The Oaks.

The Lions did not qualify their team nor any individuals for next week's state tournament.

Pleasant Valley and Dubuque Senior finished first and second and will advance to state. Linn-Mar was 20 strokes behind second-place Senior.

Lorenz leads Lions to 3rd at Prairie Invy

Emma Lorenz shot a 76 to lead Linn-Mar to a third-place tie Thursday in the Prairie Invitational girls golf tournament at Airport National.

Amanda Shannon shot an 82 for the Lions, who tied with Cascade.

Taylor Utter's 77 led Prairie to a fifth-place finish. Marion was ninth.

Harding, Postma lead Lions to girls golf win

Katie Harding and Jordan Postma shot 43s to lead Linn-Mar to a 20-stroke win Wednesday in the Kennedy girls golf triangular at Ellis.

Harding, Postma and Kennedy's Alli Lindo tied for medalist honors.

Kennedy was second and Marion was third.
