Linn-Mar sweeps a pair in boys tennis

Linn-Mar swept a pair of boys tennis meets against Metro foes Saturday.

The Lions beat Kennedy, 6-0, in a match shortened by weather. The Lions beat Washington, 7-2.

Brady Anderson, Trevor McCann, John Kuster and Ben Myers all won a pair of singles matches for Linn-Mar.

Lions snow under Waterloo West

WATERLOO - The Linn-Mar Lions blanked Waterloo West, 8-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys tennis meet in Waterloo Friday.

Brady Anderson defeated Jacob Meyer, 6-1, 6-0, at No.1 singles.

The final match at No.3 doubles was canceled due to snow.

Linn-Mar boys split MVC meets

Linn-Mar split a pair of boys tennis meets Saturday.

The Lions mauled Waterloo East, 9-0, at East, but then were toppled by Cedar Falls, 5-1, at Cedar Falls. The doubles portion of the Cedar Falls meet was cancelled by rain.

Brady Anderson won both of his matches at No.1 singles for Linn-Mar.

Myers posts Lions' lone win in loss to Trojans

Ben Myers posted Linn-Mar's lone win and the Lions were defeated by Iowa City West, 8-1, Thursday in boys tennis.

Myers won at No.6 singles, beating Adam Boldt in a tiebreaker.

Trevor McCann was beaten in a tiebreaker at No.3 singles.
