Bach nets hat trick for Marion

MONTICELLO - Maddie Bach popped in three goals Monday as the Marion Indians kicked Monticello, 8-0, in a Wamamc Conference soccer match in Monticello.

Madi Chambers collected three assists for the Indians.

Ohl, Eichelberger lead Marion golfers

INDEPENDENCE - Ashley Ohl and Carli Eichelberger shot 49's Monday to help the Marion Indians tie for fourth place at the Wamac West Division golf tournament in Independence.

Ohl and Eichelberger tied for 10th in the individual standings. Brette McKown of Williamsburg claimed medalist honors with a 43 to help her team win the championship.

Marion girls win shuttle relay

INDEPENDENCE - The Marion Indians captured the shuttle hurdle relay and finished fourth in the team standings at the Independence girls track meet Monday.

Marion got second-place showings from Sydney Brase in the 400 hurdles, Olivia Frazier in the high jump, Mahlia Brown in the shot put, the 4x200 relay and the 1600 medley relay.

The Indians got third-place finishes from Abby Kolarik in the 200 and Breanna Smith in the shot put.

Waterloo East won the team title with 124 points. Marion placed fourth with 92.

No.12 Indians blank Pointers, 3-0

Enoch Duval scored two goals Friday as the 12th-ranked Marion Indians blanked Center Point-Urbana, 3-0, in a Wamac Conference soccer match at Marion.

Ryan Whalen also scored for the Indians. Carter Stigge and Justin Thompson collected assists.
