Prairie High School - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

No. 5 Lions boot No. 12 Hawks

Leroy Enzugusi and Daniel Luzindya scored goals in the second half Tuesday night as fifth-ranked Linn-Mar blanked No. 12 Prairie, 2-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match under the lights at Prairie.

Brian Allsup, Jordan Webb and Blake Comstock collected assists for Linn-Mar.

Jared Belin made 10 saves for the Lions for his seventh shutout of the season.

 

 

 

Xavier boys top Prairie in tennis

Kyle D'Mello defeated Connor Anthony at No.1 singles Tuesday, 6-1, 6-0, as the Xavier Saints topped Prairie, 5-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference

tennis meet at Prairie.

The doubles competition was rained out.

Vale Caro, Magui Caro, Michelle Grenn and Maddie Renner won their singles matches Friday as Prairie nipped Linn-Mar, 5-4, in a Mississippi Valley Conference tennis meet at Prairie.

Vale Caro defeated Ellie Anderson, 10-4, at No. 1 singles.

Hannah Kousheh scored on a penalty kick Thursday night to give Prairie a 1-0 victory over Iowa City High in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match at Prairie.

Prairie raised its record to 4-1 under new coach Doug Graham.

 

No. 12 Prairie falls to No. 3 City High

IOWA CITY - Cedar Rapids Prairie dropped a 2-1 boys soccer decision to No. 3 Iowa City High in a Mississippi Valley Conference match Thursday night in Iowa City.

Logan Rinderknecht scored for 12th-ranked Prairie on an assist from his brother Seth.
