Hembera collects 29 points, 24 rebounds

CLINTON - Cedar Valley Christian junior Shelby Hembera scored 29 points and grabbed 24 rebounds Tuesday night as the winless Huskies lost to Prince of Peace, 62-31, in Clinton.

Cedar Valley fell to 0-18 for the campaign.

Hembera posts another big double-double

WYOMING - Cedar Valley Christian junior Shelby Hembera collected 33 points, 20 rebounds and five blocked shots Friday night as the Huskies lost to Midland of Wyoming, 65-37.

Briana Schurbon scored 16 points for Midland (9-5). Cedar Valley Christian fell to 0-17.

Midland boys bomb Huskies, 77-41

WYOMING - Midland rained in 15 3-point goals and rolled past Cedar Valley Christian, 77-41, Friday in boys basketball.

Mike Scroggs led Cedar Valley (0-16) with 16 points.

Connor Harms nailed five 3-pointers and led Midland with 17 points.

Hembera fouls out in near-miss for CVC

SPRINGVILLE - The Cedar Valley Christian girls basketball team, seeking its first victory of the season, trailed Calamus Wheatland by only one point with four minutes left in their ballgame Tuesday night in Springville.

Unfortunately for Cedar Valley, Shelby Hembera fouled out at that point and the Huskies dropped a 43-35 affair.

Hembera finished with 31 points and 20 rebounds for Cedar Valley (0-16, 0-8). The Huskies led at halftime for the first time all season, 22-21.

Rebecca VanderHeiden scored 25 points for Calamus-Wheatland 4-12, 2-6).

Cedar Valley boys fall to Cal-Wheatland

SPRINGVILLE - Michael Johnson scored 10 points for Cedar Valley Tuesday night in the Huskies' 74-41 loss to Calamus-Wheatland in a Tri-Rivers Conference boys basketball game.

Travis Geels and Mike Scroggs added eight points apiece for Cedar Valley (0-15, 0-8).
