GILBERTVILLE - Travis Havel scored 26 points to power Don Bosco to a 69-29 win over CCedar Valley Christian Saturday in boys basketball.

Hembera nets all 40 for Huskies

GILBERTVILLE - Shelby Hembera scored all 40 of her team's points Saturday night as Cedar Valley Christian lost to Don Bosco, 61-40, in a Tri-Rivers Conference basketball game in Gilbertville.

Hembera made 16 field goals, including a 3-pointer, and hit 7 of 16 free throws en route to a career high. She scored 39 points Friday night against East Buchanan.

The Huskies fell to 0-7 for the season.

Lauren Becker scored 17 points for Don Bosco (3-3).

Hembera scores 39 for Cedar Valley

SPRINGVILLE - Shelby Hembera poured in 39 points and grabbed 14 rebounds Friday night as Cedar Valley Christian lost to East Buchanan, 63-43, in a Tri-Rivers basketball game in Springville.

The Huskies fell to 0-6 with the defeat.

Kaylee Naber scored 26 points and Andrewa Hughson had 21 for East Buchanan (3-4).

Johnson scores 15 points in CVC loss

SPRINGVILLE - Michael Johnson scored 15 points for Cedar Valley Christian Friday night in the Huskies' 68-33 loss to East Buchanan.

East Buchanan led by only 16-12 at halftime, but outscored the Huskies 52-21 in the second half.

Josh Reeder led East Buchanan with 16 points.

SPRINGVILLE - Marquette built a 42-5 lead by halftime and rolled past Cedar Valley Christian, 59-13, Tuesday in boys basketball.

Tom Scroggs scored six points to lead CVC.
