MONTEZUMA -Jeremy Strutz scored 21 points and Will Muhlbach added 17 to lead Cedar Valley Christian past Montezuma, 64-53, Tuesday night in boys basketball.

Cedar Valley (11-7) won for the 10th time in 11 games.

Cedar Valley nudged by Wapsie Valley, 46-45

SHELLSBURG - Two girls basketball teams in desperate need of a victory met in Shellsburg Saturday and played a tight game.

Unfortunately for Cedar Valley Christian, it fell one point short.

Haley Risse and Abrah Meyer led a balanced attack with eight points apiece as Wapsie Valley denied the Huskies, 46-45.

Shelby Hembera led Cedar Valley (1-14) with 25 points. Lindsey Cach contributed 11 points.

Strutz scores 25 in Cedar Valley win

SHELLSBURG - Jeremy Strutz scored 25 points to lead Cedar Valley Christian past Wapsie Valley, 70-64, Saturday in boys basketball.

Will Muhlbach added 17 points for the Huskies (10-7). Evan Koch had 11 points.

Strutz made nine field goals and dropped in 6 of 8 free throws. Koch canned two 3-pointers.

Mitchell Boevers knocked down five 3-pointers and his 15 points led Wapsie Valley.

Cedar Valley notched its ninth win in its last 10 games.

Hembera nets 21 as Cedar Valley tumbles

CLINTON - Shelby Hembera scored 21 points Friday night as the Cedar Valley Christian girls basketball team lost to Prince of Peace, 67-40, in Clinton.

Lindsay Cach scored 11 points for Cedar Valley (1-13).

Jackie Kokjohn led Prince of Peace with 16 points.
