Molly Hembera sparks Huskies to victory

WATERLOO - Freshman Molly Hembera did a good imitation of her older sister Friday night to help Cedar Valley Christian defeat Waterloo Christian, 48-32, and snap a 10-game losing streak.

Hembera scored 25 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had nine steals in her bid for a triple-double. Shelby Hembera, Molly's older sister, leads the state in scoring and rebounding, but she's missed the last three weeks with torn tendons in her left ankle and has been lost for the season.

Emma Slagle scored nine points and Maggie Cach had eight points for Cedar Valley (8-13). Kristin Kimball scored 12 points for Waterloo Christian (2-19).
