Garcia stars as Lions spank Rams

DUBUQUE - Olivia Garcia poured in four goals Tuesday night as the Linn-Mar Lions dumped Dubuque Senior, 6-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match in Dubuque.

Claire Larson and Annika Menges also scored for Linn-Mar.

Kayla Kvach collected two assists for the Lions. Larson, Menges and Jensen Sevening also had assists.

Linn-Mar girls boot No. 7 City High

The Linn-Mar Lions knocked off No. 7 Iowa City High, 1-0, in a PK Shootout Friday night in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match at Linn-Mar Stadium.

The Lions beat the Little Hawks in the Shootout, 5-4.

Menges nets 3 goals for Linn-Mar

WATERLOO - Annika Menges scored three goals Tuesday as the Linn-Mar Lions rolled by Waterloo West, 9-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match in Waterloo.

Olivia Garcia and Allie Noggle scored twice for the Lions. Lexi Frese and Jensen Sevening also tallied.

Sevening collected two assists. Jenna Ajram, Garcia, Emily Menges and Noggle also picked up assists.

Linn-Mar girls boot Waterloo East

The Linn-Mar girls soccer team collected a 10-0 victory over Waterloo East Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference match at Linn-Mar Stadium.

Olivia Garcia scored twice for the Lions. Rylie Frese, Kayla Kvach, Claire Larson, Annika Menges, Emily Menges, Allie Noggle and Maddie Saville also scored.
