BELLEVUE -- Cedar Valley Christian faded twice in the second half and dropped a pair of games Saturday in the Bellevue Marquette tournament.

The Huskies were beaten in their first game by Scales Mound, Ill., 71-43. Bellevue Marquette beat them in the second game, 78-51.

Jon Landis, Spencer Zielke and Jeremy Strutz scored 10 points apiece against Scales Mound.

Cedar Valley trailed 29-21 at halftime, but was outscored 42-22 in the second half.

The Huskies trailed by only 36-30 at halftime against Marquette, but were outscored 42-21 in the second half of that game.

Zielke and Strutz had 14 points apiece against Marquette. Tom Scroggs had 11.

Zielke was named to the all-tournament team.

The losses dropped Cedar Valley to 1-4.
