Perkins leads Marion girls to win

Paige Perkins scored 14 points to lead Marion past Vinton-Shellsburg, 43-28, Tuesday night in a Wamac Conference girls basketball game at Marion.

The Indians (10-6, 7-3) salted the game away at the free-throw line, making 15 of 21. Emi Banes was 6 of 8 and had eight points.

Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 1-15, 0-10.

VINTON-SHELLSBURG (28): Griffith 2 1-2 6, Stainbrook 4 2-2 12, Jorgenson 0 0-0 0, Sagan 2 0-0 4, McKenna 0 0-0 0, Burroughs 1 0-2 2, Randall 0 0-0 0, Westindorf 2 0-0 4. Totals 11 3-6 28.
