DUBUQUE - Xavier had fourth-ranked Dubuque Senior in a seven-point hole at halftime, but the Rams escaped and beat the Saints, 42-34, Tuesday night in Mississippi Valley Conference boys basketball.

Adam McDermott scored 12 points, making four 3-pointers, to lead Xavier (8-8, 4-7).

Senior improved to 15-1 overall and 10-1 in the MVC.
