Cedar Valley boys tame Lisbon, 73-65

LISBON - The Cedar Valley Christian boys basketball team won for the 12th time in its last 14 games Tuesday night with a 73-65 victory at Lisbon.

Jon Landis scored 25 points and Will Muhlbach contributed 23 points for the Huskies (13-8). Jeremy Strutz pitched in with 14 markers.

Austin Springsteen led Lisbon (3-18) with 27 points.

Cedar Valley Christian had to jump-start the team bus for the ride home from Lisbon. It was the third mishap with the bus this season.

The Huskies used only five players in the game.

LISBON (65): Schrantz 0 0-0 0, Givens 3 0-0 8, Noll 0 0-0 0, Light 6 0-0 12, Svatosch 4 6-11 14, Rickard 2 0-0 4, Springsteen 12 1-2 27. Totals 27 7-13 65.

CEDAR VALLEY (73): Koch 2 0-0 6, Landis 11 1-2 25, Zielke 2 1-2 5, Strutz 5 4-5 14, Muhlbach 10 3-3 23. Totals 30 9-12 73.

Halftime - Cedar Valley 39, Lisbon 31. 3-point goals - Lisbon 4 (Givens 2, Springsteen 2), Cedar Valley 4 (Koch 2, Landis 2).
