Washington girls nab state bowling berth

CLINTON - Shania Christensen and Courtney Snodgrass rolled 404 series to propel Washington to a first-place finish at Thursday's Class 2A state-qualifying meet in Clinton.

The Warriors earned an automatic bid to next week's state meet at Des Moines.

Christensen and Snodgrass also qualified for the individual state tournament.

Prairie finished fourth in the meet, but Rylee Blood shot a 462 series and qualified for the individual state tournament. Her score was the second-highest qualifier in the state.

 

The state meet is Friday, Feb. 22, at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines.
