The Cedar Rapids Kernels have drawn 1,994,577 fans to Veterans Memorial Stadium since the new stadium opened in 2002 and expect to reach 2 million next week.

The lucky fan who is number 2,000,000 will receive a $3,000 prize package that includes $1,500 in cash and the following:

• One night in a Kernels diamond suite
• Four "Praise in the Park" concert tickets
• Two Minnesota Twins tickets
• Four MMA tickets on Saturday, Aug. 10
• Kernels merchandise (T-shirt, cap and merchandise)
• 2013 team autographed ball
• Ox Yoke gift certificate
• Fareway gift certificate
• Hy-Vee gift certificate
• Jimmy Johns gift certificate
• Genghis Grill gift certificate
• Stadium Lounge gift certificate

Based on attendance projections, the Kernels expect to reach the 2 million milestone during the next homestand from June 25 through July 1, most likely on Wednesday, June 26 or Thursday, June 27.

The lucky fan will be recognized and presented with their prize package on the field prior to that day's game.

Tickets may be purchased on-line at www.kernels.com or by calling the Kernels ticket office at 896-7560. Ticket office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The Kernels host Burlington on June 25-26-27-28 and host Peoria on June 29-30 and July 1.
