The Linn-Mar Lions swept a softball doubleheader from Cedar Falls Monday and finished in third place in the Valley Division standings in the Mississippi Valley Conference.

The Lions won, 6-4 and 16-6 in six innings.

Alexis Kelsey went 3-for-4 in the 6-4 victory and was the winning pitcher. Madison Rentschler and Kelsey Duggan had two hits.

Kelsey went 4-for-4, scored four runs and drove in four runs in the second game. Kortlan Ollinger went 2-for-4 and scored three runs. Maddy Ryan went 2-for-3 and was the winning pitcher. Duggan had two more hits. Renthschler, Hannah Yearling, Allissa Clauson and Sara Strauel had two RBIs.

Linn-Mar finished the MVC race with a 12-14 record and is 16-21 overall. Cedar Falls is 9-27 overall and 5-21 in the conference.
