DUBUQUE - The 10th-ranked Xavier Saints were swept by Dubuque Wahlert, 7-5 and 8-5, Friday in their final Mississippi Valley Conference games of the season.

The Saints tied for fourth place in the Valley Division standings with Cedar Falls with a 15-11 league record. Xavier is 22-14 overall.

Bryce Grimm, Zach Brown, Luke Hammerberg and Mitch Keller had two hits for Xavier in the first game. Hammerberg drove in two runs and Brown scored twice.

Keller and Jordan Ratz had three hits in the second game. Reggie Schulte drove in two runs.

Wahlert raised its records to 17-7 in the Valley Division and 22-10 overall. Wahlert is tied with Linn-Mar for the Valley Division lead with two games left in the conference race.
