GARWIN - The Cedar Valley Christian volleyball team compiled a 3-1 record and finished second at the GMG tournament in Garwin Saturday.

The Huskies began the tournament by defeating HLV, 15-21, 21-19, 15-13. Samantha Smith collected four kills and seven digs. Grace Etzel had seven digs and Jessie Walsh contributed nine assists.

The Huskies downed Waterloo Christian, 21-16, 21-19, with Etzel making seven digs and Shelby Hembera adding five kills.

Cedar Valley lost to BGM in its third match, 21-19, 21-16. Etzel and Maria Sequeira had five digs apiece.

The Huskies finished the tournament by blanking GMG, 21-18, 21-10, with Walsh having four assists.

Cedar Valley raised its record to 8-7 for the season.
