WASHINGTON, Iowa - The Marion High School cross country teams enjoyed a triumphant day at the Washington (Iowa) Invitational Tuesday.

Madison Bach won the girls 4K race in 16 minutes, 28.29 seconds, beating the runnerup by more than 25 seconds.

The Marion boys placed four runners in the Top 10 of their 5K race and edged Fort Madison for the title, 38-40.

Colton Forster led the Indians in second place. Hunter Reifschneider finished fourth, Jacob Manderscheid was eighth and Maverick Miller ran 10th.

The Marion girls placed third in their race. Sydney Brase finished fifth for the Indians and Sam Livingston was ninth.
