FARGO, N.D. - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders exploded for five goals in the third period Thursday night and drubbed the Fargo Force, 7-1, in a USHL game before 3,757 fans in Fargo.

Jack Rowe, Clark Kuster, Andrew Oglevie, Corey Petrash, Dylan McLaughlin, Mark Auk and Alec Marsh all scored goals for Cedar Rapids.

Petrash tallied an unassisted goal in the third period when the RoughRiders were short-handed for a 4-0 lead.

Alex Funk collected two assists for Cedar Rapids. Jason Kalinowski, Ivan Provorov, Dylan Gareau, Casey Jerry, Marsh and Petrash also had assists.

Danny Tirone saved 19 out of 20 shots for the RoughRiders.

Kalinowski of the RoughRiders and Butrus Ghafari of the Force were given five-minute major penalties for fighting in the second period. Ghafari was also given a 10-minute game misconduct penalty and a two-minute penalty for being the instigator in the fight.

Cedar Rapids plays Saturday night against Tri-City in Kearney, Neb.
