MARSHALLTOWN - Former Cedar Rapids Jefferson state champion Whitney Wodstrchill was inducted into the Iowa High High School Swim Coaches Association Hall of Fame Saturday during the state meet in Marshalltown.

Wodstrchill won three state titles for the J-Hawks during her career from 2000 to 2003 and owns (or is a part of) six school records. She won state titles in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke as a freshman and won the 100 backstroke title again as a senior.

Wodstrchill swam at Truman State University and helped her team win an NCAA Division II title in 2005. She placed second in the 200 backstroke at the Division II national meet and was a member of the national championship 800 freestyle relay in 2006.

She was named a Division II All-American or Honorable Mention All-American 18 times in college.

Wodstrchill lives in St. Louis and is currently attending Webster University while working on a master's degree in finance.
