RoughRiders blank Youngstown, 5-0

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders stayed hot in a 5-0 win over Youngstown on Saturday before 1,453 fans in a USHL game at the Covelli Center.

Ryan Larkin made 46 saves to earn the shutout.

Jiri Fronk and Cal Burke each scored two goals for Cedar Rapids, which improved to 28-10-0 for 56 points and holds a five-point lead over Muskegon in the USHL Eastern Conference.

Andrew Oglevie also scored and had an assist for the RoughRiders. Erik Foley, Hugh McGing and Ross Colton also had assists.

Cedar Rapids beat Youngstown, 6-1, Friday and swept the weekend series in Ohio. Youngstown swept a two-game series in Cedar Rapids last week.

Despite the score, Youngstown out-shot Cedar Rapids 46-22.

Youngstown is 19-13-5 for 43 points.
