RIVERSIDE - Matt Schlueter of Mount Mercy tied for second place at the Midwest Collegiate Conference men's golf tournament Wednesday with a 54-hole score of 4-under-par 212 at the Blue Top Ridge course in Riverside.

Schlueter fired rounds of 70, 72 and 70. He finished one shot behind Jay Monahan of Grand View, who claimed medalist honors at 5-under 211

Jamie Booth of Mount Mercy placed sixth at 1-under 215 and Jack South finished ninth at 1-over 217.

Grand View won the men's title. Mount Mercy finished third, 12 shots off the pace.

Meg Monson of Mount Mercy tied for fifth place in the women's tournament at Blue Top Ridge at 16-over-par 160. The Mustangs finished fifth in the team standings.
