All seven Metro schools have entered bowling teams in the Prairie Invitational Baker Tournament the next two Saturdays at Lancer Lanes.
Iowa City West, Iowa City High, Cedar Falls and Louisa-Muscatine will join Linn-Mar, Xavier, Washington, Marion, Jefferson, Kennedy and Prairie. The girls’ tournament is Saturday (Dec. 11) and the boys’ is Dec. 18.
The Baker tournament consists of five members of each team rolling alternate frames. The first bowler will roll in frames one and six, the second in two and seven, the third in three and eight, the fourth in four and nine, and the fifth in five and 10. Matches consist of five games. The tournament format is a ladder competition.
The tournament both weekends begins at 1 p.m.

First Round – Iowa City West vs. Iowa City High; Linn-Mar vs. Xavier; Washington vs. Cedar Falls.
Quarterfinals — Louisa-Muscatine vs. Marion; Jefferson vs. Iowa City West/Iowa City High winner; Prairie vs. Linn-Mar/Xavier winner; Kennedy vs. Washington/Cedar Falls winner.
BOYS PAIRINGS
First Round — Prairie vs. Jefferson; Kennedy vs. Cedar Falls; Xavier vs. Linn-Mar.
Quarterfinals — Iowa City West vs. Marion; Iowa City High vs. Prairie/Jefferson winner; Louisa-Muscatine vs. Kennedy/Cedar Falls winner; Washington vs. Xavier/Linn-Mar winner.
