WATERLOO – Jayla Johnson scored 14 points and had five steals to lead the Washington girls basketball team to a 79-37 win over Waterloo East in a Mississippi Valley Conference game Tuesday at East.
The Warriors (11-6) led 30-8 after the first quarter and 49-19 at halftime.
Payton Bruner scored 12 points for Washington and Vanessa Eniola added 11 points.
Waterloo East fell to 1-15.
