Storyline - The Class 4A prep football season kicks off with a showdown between a Linn-Mar team looking to continue the successes of the past two seasons against a Jefferson club out to shake off the frustrations of the past.

Linn-Mar - The Lions are 17-5 over the past two seasons and reached the playoffs each year. They thumped the J-Hawks 43-15 last year to ignite a 7-0 start to the season.
