Mount Mercy women pinned by Penn

The Mount Mercy women's basketball team lost to William Penn, 78-53,  in a Heart of America Conference game at the Hennessey Recreation  Center Monday night.

The Mustangs fell to 4-13 overall and 1-11 in the league. William Penn  raised its records to 13-4 overall and 9-3 in the league.

Sandra Mia scored 22 points for Mount Mercy and Brianna Thomas chipped  in with 12.

Kate Ylitalo popped in five 3-pointers and scored 23 points for William Penn.
