No. 17 Eagles dump Ellsworth

Jamal Stephenson popped in 20 points Wednesday night as the  17th-ranked Kirkwood Eagles defeated Ellsworth, 88-66, in an ICCAC  conference game at Johnson Hall.

Stephenson shot 8 for 11 from the field and made four 3-pointers.

Kirkwood raised its records to 14-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference.  Ellsworth fell to 10-10 overall and 1-4 in the league.

Luke Appel scored 16 points for the Eagles. Devonte Thedford had 15  points, Griff Clark 12 and Niko Gosnell 11. Clark was 4-for-5 on  3-pointers and Thedford was 3-for-3 as the Eagles shot 13 of 20 from  behind the arc.

Adam Jackson and Anthony Eddy had 12 points for Ellsworth.

ELLSWORTH (66): Muilenburg 2-8 1-2 5, Jackson 6-18 0-0 12, Eddy 4-11  0-0 12, Donaldson 2-10 0-0 4, Rewoldt 3-3 0-0 6, Bodden 0-1 0-0 0,  Wright 2-5 0-0 5, Umess 0-1 0-0 0, Randle 4-4 0-0 10, Blackley 0-1 0-0  0, Oberhauser 3-6 1-2 8, Dawson 0-1 0-0 0, Roling 0-0 0-0 0, Johnson  2-3 0-0 4.
