FORT SCOTT, Kan. - The 10th-ranked Kirkwood softball hit three home runs Sunday and swept a doubleheader from Fort Scott, 9-3 and 13-5.
The victories lifted the Eagles to 10-3 for the campaign. Fort Scott fell to 6-8.
Sydney Albaugh went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the 9-3 victory in the opener. Shelby Hulsebus, Autum Barthelman and Angie Gorkow were all 2-for-5. Hulsebus collected a triple. Isabelle True (4-2) pitched a complete game for the verdict.
Albaugh was 3-for-4 in the 13-5 triumph in Game 2. London Jackson, Gorkow and Lauren Stegall socked home runs. Hulsebus was 3-for-4. Jackson, Gorkow and Stegall all had two hits. Carrie Nelson (3-0) was the winning pitcher.
