Cedar Valley girls fall at Dunkerton, 43-26

DUNKERTON - The Cedar Valley Christian girls basketball team scored only seven points in the second half Saturday and lost to Dunkerton, 43-26.

Dunkerton (1-8) collected its first victory of the season by playing a box-and-one against CVC star Shelby Hembera. Hembera scored 13 points, but made only two field goals and was 9 for 21 at the foul line.

Lindsey Cach scored 10 points for the Huskies (0-5).

Jesse Rottinghaus led Dunkerton with 13 points and Hayley Dodge scored 12.

CEDAR VALLEY (26): Shelby Hembera 2 9-21 13, Alyson Wood 0 0-0 0, Carly Silver 0 0-0 0, Izzy Hoffman 1 1-3 3, Lindsey Cach 4 1-3 10. Totals 7 11-27 26.

DUNKERTON (43): Leeann Bienfang 1 2-4 4, Ashley Bedard 0 0-0 0, Jesse Rottinghaus 4 2-2 13, Emilee Miller 0 1-2 1, Aubrey Duncan 0 0-0 0, Hayley Dodge 5 0-3 12, Anna Sickles 2 0-0 4, Brooke Miller 1 0-0 2, Delana Smith 0 1-2 1, Kelli Zuck 3 0-0 6. Totals 16 6-13 43.
