Courtney Strait helped the Kennedy Cougars bounce back Saturday night with a victory.

Strait tossed in 16 points as the seventh-ranked Cougars defeated Linn-Mar, 40-29, in a Mississippi Valley Conference game in the Linn-Mar gym.

Kennedy (11-7, 8-6) saw its six-game winning streak end at Washington Friday night, but the Cougars came right back and got on the winning path again.

Kristen Eiles scored seven points for Linn-Mar (9-10, 5-9).
