Austin Stroschein and Austin Banks drove in three runs apiece Friday night as Linn-Mar defeated Bettendorf, 8-1, in the first game of a doubleheader at Linn-Mar.

The second game was rained out.

Justin Wyant struck out six batters in 5 1/3 innings to get the victory. He allowed three hits and four walks.

Mitchell Stickney went 3-for-3. Stroschein was 2-for-2 and scored three runs for the Lions (2-2).
