The Cedar Rapids Kennedy baseball team was voted No. 1 in the preseason poll that was released two weeks ago and the voters have seen nothing to change their minds.
The Cougars (8-1) were voted No. 1 in Class 4A again Monday in the first regular-season poll by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Ankeny, Iowa City West, Dowling Catholic and Johnston are ranked second through fifth. The Xavier Saints (4-4) fell from eighth to 10th in the rankings. The Prairie Hawks (7-4) dropped out of the top-10 after being ranked ninth in the preseason.
The Marion Indians (7-3) are ranked No. 8 in Class 3A after starting the season as the No. 9 team. Sioux City Heelan was voted No. 1 in 3A, followed by Harlan, Western Dubuque, Dallas Center-Grimes and Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
Davis County is ranked No. 1 in Class 2A and Martensdale-St. Marys is No. 1 in Class 1A.
