WEST BURLINGTON - Kianna Jacobs scored 17 points and grabbed 18 rebounds Saturday as Kirkwood drubbed Lewis & Clark, 89-58, at the Southeastern Classic in West Burlington.
The 18 rebounds tied the fifth-most in school history.
"She was just invincible," Kirkwood assistant coach Joe Hruska reported.
Jacobs, a 6-foot sophomore from Milwaukee, also collected three assists and three steals.
Alexis Fitzpatrick contributed 13 points and seven assists for the fifth-ranked Eagles (2-0).
Robneisha Wood led Lewis & Clark with 25 points.
Kirkwood will face Joliet in the first round of the Kirkwood Classic this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Johnson Hall. The Eagles will play No. 4 Kishwaukee on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the second round of the event.
