Prairie ranked 8th in baseball poll

Cedar Rapids Prairie jumped into the Class 4A baseball rankings for the first time this season Monday in the No.8 spot, according to the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.

The Hawks are 17-6 overall and 11-3 in the Valley Division of the Mississippi Valley Conference. They have a two-game lead over Linn-Mar in the division standings with 12 games left in the MVC campaign.

The Xavier Saints dropped out of the Class 4A rankings Monday after being No.9 last week.

 

Ankeny continues to lead the Class 4A poll, followed by Iowa City West and Fort Dodge.

Clear Lake is ranked No.1 in Class 3A, North Polk is No.1 in Class 2A and Mason City Newman is No.1 in Class 1A.
