Linn-Mar freshman Jennifer Jenks shattered the school record in the 500 yard freestyle Tuesday with a clocking of 5 minutes, 14.6 seconds at the Coe College Natatorium.

Jenks broke the record of 5:19.32 set by Jenn Morris in 1991.

Linn-Mar won 10 of 12 events and dunked Iowa City High, 122-62, in the Mississippi Valley Conference meet.

Jenks also won the 200 individual medley and swam on the triumphant 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay.

Hailey Harms also captured four events for Linn-Mar. She won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle races and swam on the victorious 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.

Samantha Fitzgerald claimed three victories in the 100 butterfly, 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay.
