Rylee Blood of Cedar Rapids Prairie is the winner of the Metro Spotlight Award for high school girls this week, the Metro Sports Report announced Sunday.
Blood, a senior, leads all Metro bowlers this season with a 196.7 game average and 393.4 series. She's rolled a high game of 266 this season and a high series of 470.
Blood ranks seventh overall in the state this year. Last year, she helped the Hawks place third at the Class 3A state tournament.
Prairie has another strong team this season and has a 10-0 record, tied for second-best in the state. The Hawks feature four bowlers who are ranked in the top-20 in the state with Blood seventh, Ashley Sundstrom 12th, Sabrina Keiper 15th and Kaitlyn Early 18th.
