TIFFIN - Emi Banes scored 17 points and Michalyn Mohr added 15 to lead Marion past Clear Creek Amana, 63-59, Friday in Wamac Conference girls basketball.
Amanda Sahm added 10 points for the Indians (11-6, 8-3).
Clear Creek Amana is 9-9 overall and 4-7 in the Wamac.
OELWEIN - Brandon Bradley shot high game of 220 and high series of 392 for Marion and led the Indians past Oelwein, 2628-2337, Friday in boys bowling at Viper Lanes.
Peter Rethwisch was right behind Bradley with a 391 series. He had a 204 high game.
Zach Prucha shot a 201 game.
OELWEIN - Taylor Lamm had the line Friday, firing games of 232 and 179 for a 411 series that led Marion past Oelwein, 2211-2161, in girls bowling at Viper Lanes.
Bre Smith rolled a 338 series for the Indians.
Three Marion wrestlers posted falls, but the Indians came up short against DeWitt Central, 49-30, Thursday in Wamac Conference wrestling.
Nick Kramer at 138, Levi Lochner at 145 and Romello Olds at 152 pinned their foes.
Other Marion winners were Tevin Mull by forfeit and Dakota Peterson by injury default.
DeWitt wrestlers recorded five pins.
VINTON - Grant Sagan scored 32 points and Nolan Sagan added 13 to lead top-ranked Vinton-Shellsburg past Marion, 70-48, Tuesday night in a Wamac Conference boys basketball game.
Craig Engle's 10 points paced Marion (7-7, 5-4). Daly Quinn and Tyler Gunderson had nine points apiece.
Vinton-Shellsburg (15-0, 10-0) is ranked No.1 in Class 3A.
