Printy leads Washington boys past East

Jared Printy scored 14 points to lead a quartet of Washington scorers in double figures and the Warriors downed Waterloo East, 65-56, Tuesday in a boys basketball game at Washington.

Razadon Taylor scored 12 points, Jake Kramer 11 and Maurice Arrington 10 for Washington.

The game was tied at halftime, 28-28. Washington used a 16-9 advantage in the third quarter to build a seven-point lead. The Warriors outscored the Trojans 21-19 in a wild fourth quarter.

Washington girls wallop Waterloo East

WATERLOO - Aleena Hobbs scored 16 points and Dani Franklin 14 as Washington routed Waterloo East, 68-21, Tuesday in girls basketball.

Sophie Ochs added 10 points for the Warriors.

Washington built a 49-7 lead by halftime.

Lohaus nets 25 as West dumps Warriors

IOWA CITY - Wyatt Lohaus scored 25 points Friday night as top-ranked Iowa City West defeated Washington, 68-37, in a Mississippi Valley Conference game in Iowa City.

Adam Klein added 13 points for the Trojans (4-0, 1-0).

Maurice Arrington collected 10 points and six rebounds for Washington (0-3, 0-1).

Franklin, Hobbs lead Warriors past IC West

Dani Franklin scored 27 points and Aleena Hobbs added 21 to lead Washington to a 74-60 win over Iowa City West Friday night at the Warrior gym.

Franklin knocked down 11 field goals and was 4-for-5 from the free-throw line.

Washington scored 25 points in the first quarter and built a 39-32 lead by halftime.

J-Hawks strong-arm Warriors on the lanes

Austin Kluth, Hunter Sturtz and Victor Baccam all shot series in the 460s to power Jefferson past Washington, 3216-2636, Friday in boys bowling at May City Bowl.

Kluth had high game for the J-Hawks with a 267 and also had high series of 469. Sturtz had a 466 and Baccam a 465 series.

Tyler Fowler and Christian Hindt also cleared the 400 barrier for Jefferson.

Kyle Kaness shot a 267 high game for Washington. He also had a 438 series.
