Davis Sutton has golf in his blood

Kennedy High School junior Davis Sutton was born and bred to be an exceptional golfer.

He was named (partially) after pro golfer Davis Love III, who has won 20 times on the PGA Tour. His father, Bill, was a teaching pro at the Wildcat course in Shellsburg, where Davis learned to play the game at an early age.

On top of that, the Sutton family has a golf shop and practice facility in their garage in Cedar Rapids, so Davis can hit the ball all winter and get new grips on his clubs whenever he wants.

No wonder he's so good.

Zach Johnson wins BMW Championship

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Zach Johnson shot a 6-under par 65 in the final round Monday to win the BMW Championship by two strokes at Conway Farms and earned a top five seed in next week's TOUR Championship.

Johnson played the final 31 holes without a bogey. He rolled in birdie putts on the 16th and 17th holes to take command of the tournament, the third leg of the FedEx Cup championship playoff series on the PGA Tour.

The win was Johnson's first of the season and his first career win in the FedEx Cup playoffs.

Johnson moved up to a No.4 seed for the TOUR Championship, which features the top 30 players in FedEx Cup points. A win at the TOUR Championship would give him the FedEx Cup championship, which carries with it a $10 million bonus.

Drake, Chung make big splash at Jeff

Maybe it was a cloud of chlorine from the near-by Stoney Point YMCA that settled in their blood at an early age and turned Kelsey Drake and Jaylee Chung into swimming phenoms.

The two 15-year-old Jefferson High School freshmen live next door to each other and grew up together just a ways away from the Y. And in the first three weeks of their first high school swim season, they've already made their mark in the pool.

Multiple winners in every meet so far, each has been on only one losing relay team. Chung finished second in one individual race in the season opener. Drake has yet to be beaten.
