
Mount Mercy women split matches
CHICAGO - The Mount Mercy women's volleyball team split its two matches at the Saint Xavier/Trinity Christian Crossover Tournament in Chicago Friday.
The Mustangs blanked Roosevelt, 25-15, 25-23, 25-14, in their first match and were nipped by Saint Xavier, 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, in their second contest.
Lauren Stopko collected 42 digs in the two matches, with 14 against Roosevelt and 28 against Saint Xavier.
Kayla Daggett had 20 assists in the victory over Roosevelt. Torie Alexander had 10 kills. Alyssa Weldon finished with nine kills and seven digs. Maddie Bell provided seven kills. Becca Thomson had five kills and seven digs. Caiti Peterson contributed eight assists. Read more...
