CLINTON - Matt Wempen, Damon Griffin and Joel Northrup claimed individual titles Saturday to help Linn-Mar win the Bob Lueders Invitational in Clinton.

The Lions trimmed Davenport Assumption, 209.5 to 201, for top honors.

Zac Gillis captured the 285-pound title to help Washington finish 14th out of 23 teams. The Kennedy Cougars placed 16th.

Alijah Jeffery, Andrew Holladay and Justin Green placed second for Linn-Mar. Jeffery lost his first match of the season when he was pinned by Leighton Gaul of New Hampton at 5:23 in the finals at 120 pounds.

Noah Ajram and Emmanual Jeffery finished third for Linn-Mar. Shea Hartzler of Linn-Mar and Trey Shuler of Washington placed fifth. Taylor Moss of Kennedy was sixth.
