Special acts set for MSR Classic

There will be special entertainment at the Metro Sports Report Classic on Saturday, in additional to the four high school basketball games.

Doug Sayers, a world champion juggler, will perform during halftime of Game 1 and Game 3. Sayers grew up in Cedar Rapids and is a phenomenal entertainer.

Members of the Salvation Army boys and girls basketball programs will be featured in short games during the halftimes of Game 1 and Game 3.

 

The Linn-Mar Dance Team and the Marion High School Drumline will perform during the halftime of the game between their two schools (Game 2).

 

The Xavier Dance Team will perform during the halftime of its game against Kennedy (Game 3).

The Salvation Army Santa Saxes will perform during the halftime of Game 4.

Cheerleaders and National Anthem Singers from the schools also will be featured.

Here is the game schedule:

Session I
11 a.m. - Jefferson vs. Prairie
1:15 p.m. - Linn-Mar vs. Marion

Session II
5 p.m. - Kennedy vs. Xavier
7:15 p.m. - Washington vs. Cedar Valley Christian
