Kirkwood women top South Australia

The Kirkwood women’s basketball team used a balanced attack to beat the South Australia Institute of Sports, 67-56, Tuesday at Johnson Hall.

Madison Wood had 12 points, five rebounds and three blocks for the sixth-ranked Eagles (6-3).

Deleyah Harris, Rylee Voss and Cyerra Hutchins each 10 points, A.J. Downs had seven assists, and Casey Miles had seven points and six rebounds.

Hiatt helps Cougars bowl over Warriors

Max Hiatt rolled a 444 series to lead the Kennedy boys bowling team to a 2,826-2,381 win over Washington on Tuesday at Lancer Lanes.

Hunter Bachmeier had a 334 series to lead the Warriors.

Christensen leads Wash girls by Kennedy

Emma Christensen rolled a 374 series to lead the Washington girls bowling team to a 2,270-2,168 win over Kennedy on Tuesday at Lancer Lanes.

Jamie Milota led the Cougars with a 342 series.

Zaugg leads Xavier girls bowling team

Tanya Zaugg rolled a 319 series to lead the Xavier girls bowling team in a narrow loss to Iowa City West Tuesday at May City Bowl.

The Women of Troy won 2,058 pins to 2,000.

Kalei Strabala led West with a 346 series.

Xavier falls in boys bowling meet

The Xavier boys bowling team lost to Iowa City West 2,864 pins to 2,614 Tuesday at May City Bowl.

Michael Buenzow led the Saints with 203 game and a 364 series.

Patrick Wood led the Trojans with a 497 series.
