Saints sweep Warriors in volleyball

Jess Callahan collected 40 assists Tuesday night as the Xavier Saints swept Washington, 25-13, 25-19, 25-21, in a Mississippi Valley Conference volleyball match at Washington.

Charlotte Richards contributed 14 kills for the Saints. Ellie McDermott had 11 kills and five aces. Lexi Noonan contributed nine kills.

Callahan had eight digs and Anna Parr had seven.

 

Coe women net 5th title in row

The Coe women's tennis team captured its fifth Iowa Conference title in a row Tuesday with a 9-0 victory over Wartburg at the Clark Racquet Center.

The Kohawks have won 36 straight regular-season matches in conference play.

Haley Resnick defeated Katherine Ross, 6-4, 7-5, at No. 1 singles.

Coe raised its records to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the league. Wartburg fell to 3-4 overall and 2-2.

Coe women down Monmouth in soccer

The Coe women's soccer team spotted Monmouth a 1-0 lead Tuesday before roaring back for a 4-1 victory at Clark Field.

Ashlyn Moos, Gabby Lancial, Shalyn Kinney and Danielle Dahl scored goals for the Kohawks. Sarah Fathallah, Keira Frederito and Kinney collected assists. Moos had an unassisted goal when she tied the match, 1-1.

MJ Winterer made four saves for the Kohawks.

Coe raised its record to 10-1-1. Monmouth fell to 2-8.

   

Mount Mercy spikes Waldorf

The Mount Mercy women's volleyball team raised its record to 16-7 Tuesday night by sweeping Waldorf, 25-19, 25-18, 25-15, at the Hennessey Recreation Center.

Cori Peterzalek led a balanced attack for the Mustangs with nine kills and 13 digs. Olivia Coe had eight kills. Abbie Perez collected 20 assists. Lauren Stopko finished with 15 digs.

Emma Pisarik had six assists on blocks.

Waldorf fell to 5-19.

 

Loras nips Coe in volleyball

DUBUQUE - The Coe women's volleyball team lost to Loras, 25-20, 27-29, 31-29, 25-22, in a tight Iowa Conference battle Tuesday night in Dubuque.

The Kohawks fell to 13-7 overall and 1-2 in the league. Loras raised its records to 11-8 and 2-1.

Brianna Smith led Coe with 15 kills and Lauren Himan had 10. Mackenzie Harbaugh rolled up 39 assists. Madi Miller had 24 digs. Olivia Leisinger and Jaimee Rindy had four blocks.

Therese Schultz and Danni Kennedy led Loras with 14 kills.
